ADVANCE 4 ALL

Advance 4 All is Swan Academy's programme for gymnasts aged 7 and above who want to push their skills further. Designed for children with existing gymnastics experience, this class bridges the gap between recreational gymnastics and competitive squad training. Sessions focus on refining technique, building strength and introducing more advanced skills across all apparatus. If your child loves gymnastics and wants more challenge, this is where they step up.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE:
Intensive coaching across floor, beam, bars and vault with a focus on technique
Advanced skill progressions including aerials, flics, and complex bar and beam combinations
Strength and conditioning work built into every session
A structured assessment programme with clear benchmarks for progression
Watching weeks each term for parents to see advanced skills in action
Pathway guidance from coaches on competition readiness and squad selection
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Designed for children aged 7 and above who have a solid foundation in gymnastics and want to develop further. Ideal for gymnasts who have progressed through Gym 4 All or who join with equivalent experience from another club. SKILLS THEY WILL LEARN:
Back flics and front tucks (progression dependent)
Aerials and round-off back flic combinations
Advanced bar skills including sole circles, long swings and dismounts

Watching Weeks:
Parents are invited to watch sessions each term. Coaches use this as an opportunity to discuss individual progress, competition readiness and potential squad selection with families.
Shows and Competitions:
Competition is a key part of the Advance 4 All experience. Gymnasts in this programme are expected to compete regularly, taking part in regional competitions, invitational events and our internal Swan Ruby Cup, Swan Emerald Cup and Swan Diamond Cup competition pathway. Coaches work with each gymnast to build and polish competition routines across all apparatus, and dedicated preparation time is built into the programme in the weeks leading up to events. Gymnasts also perform in our annual club showcase. For those showing exceptional ability and commitment, Advance 4 All is the direct pathway into our Junior Squad and competitive squad programmes where training intensity and competition frequency increase further.
