Visual Treasure 2026

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Visual Treasure 2026 is Swan Academy's pirate-themed summer competition and one of the most exciting events in our calendar. Open to all Swan Academy members aged 4 and above, this is a fun, friendly in-house competition designed to celebrate every gymnast's progress in a relaxed, supportive environment. There's no pressure, just a brilliant opportunity for your child to perform in front of family and friends, build confidence, and enjoy the thrill of competition day. Every gymnast who takes part receives an official Visual Treasure t-shirt, a medal, a certificate, and a goodie bag. We'll also be holding an awards ceremony for gymnasts who place in the competition. Whether your child attends our Stevenage gymnastics classes on weekday evenings or Saturday mornings, this is their chance to shine.

Who This Is For:

Open to all Swan Academy members aged 4 and above across every programme. Group 1 covers weekday 6:30pm & 7:30pm classes + (Friday 5:30pm as there is no 7:30pm class) and Saturday 11:30am & 12:30pm classes. Group 2 covers Squad & Development groups. Coaches will prepare routines during regular class time in the weeks leading up to the event. Every gymnast is welcome and encouraged to take part regardless of level. This is one of the best kids gymnastics events in Stevenage this summer.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL:

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY:

Visual Treasure 2026 is a fun, friendly competition day with a pirate twist. Gymnasts arrive at their designated group time, warm up with their coaches, and perform their floor routine in front of family, friends, and judges. Parents and families watch from the spectator area throughout. The day finishes with an awards ceremony celebrating every category winner and every gymnast who took part. Pirate hats and accessories are encouraged for the fun of the day, but all gymnasts must perform in their leotard or Swan Academy t-shirt.

On the day, please arrive 15 minutes before your competition start time.

Group 1 should arrive at 8:45am, as the competition will begin promptly at 9:00am.

Group 2 should arrive at 12:45pm, as the competition will begin promptly at 1:00pm.

We kindly ask all gymnasts to arrive on time to allow for registration and a smooth start to the competition.

IDEAL FOR:

The Visual Treasure 2026 is for every gymnast at Swan Academy aged 6 and above. Whether your child is performing their first forward roll in front of a crowd or competing at squad level, this event celebrates every level, every programme and every bit of hard work put in throughout the year. It's a proud day for gymnasts and families alike.

THE PIRATE THEME:

Every gymnast is asked to design a pirate-themed name card on a piece of cardboard (roughly A4-A2 size) with their first name clearly visible. Get creative with treasure maps, skulls and crossbones, parrots, ships, and gold coins. Pirate hats and accessories are welcome on the day, but all gymnasts must perform in their leotard or Swan Academy t-shirt. All clothing must be suitable for sport and safe to perform in.

❓ Not Sure About a Skill?

Don't worry if your child can't do every skill on the matrix. Coaches can adjust or substitute skills beforehand to make sure your child feels comfortable and confident. If you or your child are unsure about anything, please speak to their coach before competition day so we can make any changes in advance.

In gymnastics, a less difficult skill performed with great technique, control, and presentation can still score very well. It's always better to perform a simpler skill beautifully than to attempt something they're not ready for. Quality over difficulty every time.
