We're looking for Coaches from all sporting backgrounds to join our team. Who we are and our story: Swan Academy is a leading gymnastics club and registered Community Interest Company based in Stevenage. We offer recreational and competitive gymnastics for all ages and abilities, from preschool through to squad level, alongside holiday camps and community programmes that reinvest directly in local gymnastics. Responsibilities of the role: - To be an ambassador for our policies and procedures, in line with our staff handbook and safeguarding standards - To participate in the planning and delivery of our gymnastics classes, helping members reach their potential and learning goals - Communicate with parents and members in a professional and friendly manner - Work as part of a coaching team, providing guidance and support to colleagues - Identify training needs and development opportunities, for yourself and the wider team - Be a role model for customer service and safeguarding at all times - Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities - Participate and contribute to regular staff and coaching meetings - Help create an environment where colleagues enjoy their work and contribute to the success of the club - Undertake other reasonable duties as required from time to time About you: - Previous coaching experience, including relevant qualifications - Knowledge or experience of gymnastics preferred, but not essential, we provide full training - Self-motivated, with the ability to motivate others - A genuine passion for working with and developing children - Confidence leading both small and large groups - Confidence liaising with parents and members - Excellent customer service skills - A desire to learn and develop within the role - Availability to work evenings and weekends Due to the nature of our work, you'll need to complete an enhanced DBS check before you start. This role may suit candidates with previous experience as a gymnastics coach, cheer coach, dance teacher, PE assistant, PE teacher, sports coach, or fitness instructor.
