What Age Can My Child Start?
Children can start from age 4 through our Mini Tots programme - a fun, play-based introduction to movement and gymnastics shapes. From age 6, Gym 4 All introduces structured coaching across floor, beam, bars and vault. For gymnasts showing real ambition and talent, our Development Squad and Junior Squad provide a clear pathway all the way to competitive gymnastics.
What to Expect at Swan Academy
Every session is coach-led, structured and progressive. Our coaching team is led by Svetlana Lebedinskaya, a former USSR gymnast ranked in the world's top three, alongside coaches Sophie Cripps and Serena Batemen. All coaches hold minimum Level 2 qualifications, DBS checks and safeguarding certificates.
Classes are kept to manageable sizes so every child receives proper coaching and individual attention. Progress is tracked through our badge and assessment scheme, giving children clear goals and genuine milestones to celebrate.
Our Full Programme
Mini Tots (ages 4 to 6) is a play-based introduction to gymnastics. Gym 4 All (ages 6+) is our core recreational programme for all abilities. Advance 4 All (ages 9+) develops more technical skills for gymnasts who want to push further. Development Squad and Junior Squad are our competitive pathways for gymnasts training towards regional and national competition.
